The fight for kids begins
The true story that started a movement
In the town of Possum Trot in the woods of East Texas, 22 families linked arms and adopted 77 of the most difficult-to-place children in the local foster care system. Their courage and faith ignited a national movement to solve the foster care crisis and change lives for vulnerable children across the U.S. Now, it’s our turn to find our place in the movement.
Join the fight for children in crisis
Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot shows what’s possible when neighbors work together to make radical change. There are 100,000+ American children in the foster system waiting for adoption. Our goal? Zero. The fight begins now. We need communities who are willing to champion children and families in crisis, and all of us have a part to play. What’s yours?
“I’m part of a church community, and we want to help. How do we start?”
“I want to be equipped to join the fight for kids. How can I learn more about becoming a foster/adoptive parent?”
“I want to support kids and families near me. What do they need?”
